How does a 10 gallon copper still with thumper and worm work?
Think of it as a three-step experiment. Heat the boiler and the lighter compounds rise as vapor. That vapor bubbles through the thumper, which works like a second pass and gives you a smoother, stronger spirit. Then it travels into the worm, a coiled condenser cooled with water, where it turns back into liquid and you start sorting your cuts. Change the heat or the timing and you'll taste the difference, which is what makes this craft so absorbing.
